This year, 2021, has been an interesting year for all of us.  In this article, we are going to review and summarize the key highlights of Moving Forward with Hope over this past year, list our top articles, top videos, top podcast episodes and key milestone events which have occurred for us over the past 12 months.

Our YouTube Channel - Wake The Elephant

Our YouTube Channel, Wake the Elephant, was created and launched about one year ago, November 2020.  We are happy to report, our channel has just recently been awarded with monetization (December 2021). We are grateful for all our new subscribers and those who have watched our videos.

We Launched our Podcast

In March of 2021, we launched our first episodes of the Moving Forward with Hope – Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Podcast. Today, we have 35 episodes, are listed with every major podcast platform, are currently in season 3, and have over 12,000 downloads as of December 2021.

Our Podcast has also been added to the Top Podcasts on narcissism by Feedspot. We are so grateful and appreciative of all our listeners. The Top 3 Podcast episodes are listed below for 2021.

Our website, Moving Forward with Hope has received double the volume of visitors over this year and we are trending upward. Currently, our site has over 3,200 weekly visits, over 11,000 pages viewed each month and currently have about 97,000 total visits since we launched this site in 2019. In about a week, we may hit the 100K mark (check back to see if we did!) Update: we hit the 100K mark on 12/25/2021!

Our site, was recently added to the top blogs on narcissism by Feedspot, which we are delighted to announce.

In addition, this year, 2021, we released 29 blog articles on our website and we are going to highlight the top visited over this year.

7 Stages of Grief and Loss after Narcissistic Abuse

In the standardized grief process, there are five stages of grief, which are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. When it comes to grieving the loss after narcissistic abuse, there are additional stages for a total of seven.  The stages are not necessarily in any order, and one stage can last for days, to weeks to months, years; there is no set time.  Grieving is a process, be patient with yourself as you embrace the grief.  It’s very common to go back and forth into different stages of grief.

Am I with a Narcisist?

It is estimated 158 million people in the U.S. are affected by narcissistic abuse, and an estimated 6 percent* have narcissistic personality disorder.  The numbers are staggering, and it’s likely you know someone who has the characteristics of NPD, and may be suffering from the implications of the disorder.

One day it becomes clear.  We can see through it all like we never were able to before.  We see the manipulation, the lies, the triangulation, gaslighting and the deliberate ways the narcissist will twist conversations, events, stories to suit their need for narcissistic supply. Clear as day. We see it and the fog has lifted.

In February of 2021, we released our second book, Master Manipulators, which is also available on audio, opened our store (our most popular item is the Keep Calm and Go Not Contact material, we joined TikTok, and have been able to create working relationships with many affiliates which we list on our site in various pages.
